| Hey I am so excited as I just picked up a 79 KZ650 for a good price. Well I need a manual. First I need something I can download today as we are going to work on getting it started tomorrow & I also want to know where is the cheapest place to buy one from the net. Thanx guys! |

Get us some pictures ! Check our filebase for the 650 family to find articles about the bike, and get hooked up to ebay, it will be the best place to find old factory manuals. Also try your local Kaw dealer for a manual, or call some bike shops. Buy a Clymer manual, I hear they are a bit better than Haynes. | As OKC stated, check the filebase for starters. You might be surprised. I uploaded a ton of exploded part diagrams and part number sheets in the 1977 kz650 section a while back. You'll also find some good stuff in the non-specific model section. There is a ton of excellent 650 info here, due particularly to Murphyaus old 650 site, that no longer exists. Murph is an Australian. |
| If I haven't already done so (I think 'oldtimers disease' is starting early w/me ), welcome to KZr. Like was suggested, the filebase does have quite a bit on the 650's. If you aren't able to locate a FSM on eBay, a copy of the original FSM can still be obtained directly through Kawi: Kawasaki Motors Corporation ATTN: Consumer Services P.O. | One day I found Repair Manual.com and they do have the same factory service manual for the late '70s KZ650s I have available as a reprint. I've not done business with these folks. - Nate >> Nate Nates vintage bike axiom:Riding is the reward for time spent wrenching. | IMO the best place to find a used manual or any used book is WWW.ADDALL.COM . If you find a copy in digital form, please upload to OMMA.EDEBRIS.COM I am working on an archive of old motorcycle manuals in order to save some of these old bikes from being trashed by new owners who can't wait to find a paper copy of the manual. -Duck Post edited by: Duck, at: 2006/03/18 07:36 XXXXXKawPen:the other green meat |
